Windows tray utility · .NET 8
HoverIP sits quietly in your system tray. Hover over the icon and your current private and public IP address appear instantly — no Command Prompt, no PowerShell, no digging through Settings.

Why HoverIP
Rest your cursor on the tray icon and a clean, borderless popup appears immediately — no clicking, no waiting on a spinner.
Both addresses sit side by side, pulled from your active adapter and a public lookup, refreshed each time you check.
Click either address to send it straight to the clipboard. A tooltip reminds you it is one click away.
A background watcher polls your private IP and fires a balloon notification the moment your adapter gets reassigned.
Right-click the tray icon for direct shortcuts into the Windows tools you reach for most — firewall, DNS, adapters, and more.
Toggle startup behavior from the tray menu. HoverIP writes its own registry entry — no separate installer step required.
Under the hood
HoverIP is a small, self-contained Windows Forms app — every piece below ships inside a single ~9MB executable, with nothing installed system-wide.

Support the project
Development, testing, and support all happen in spare time. If HoverIP saves you a few seconds a day, a small contribution goes a long way.
Even watching an ad or two on the way to a download helps. Send a screenshot of your support to @kt777mia on Telegram and get your name featured right here on the site.
